<PASSION> begins with the tension between the desire to keep creating and the exhaustion that accumulates along the way. Across its surface, words such as “PASSION,” “LOVE,” “STAR,” and “ChatGPT” overlap with handwritten sequences of passing hours and the image of a curled-up figure. Red, identified as my auspicious colour through saju, a traditional Korean fortune-reading system, and the affirmative language contrast with the exhausted body. Together, they reveal how passion can be both a creative force and a pressure to keep pushing oneself.
Constantly measuring myself against the expectations and judgements of others leaves me caught between confidence and anxiety. At some point, ChatGPT became an informal teacher and coach—a space where I repeatedly test questions and seek direction. It offers reassurance, while also raising questions about how increasingly dependent I have become on an external system for guidance. Personal thoughts, emotions, words, and images accumulate like posters across an urban surface, forming a fragmented voice suspended between ambition, exhaustion, and uncertainty.
